All photobooks we offer at Zno have a layflat design when opened, including the Layflat Photo Book. This means that there is no gutter at the spine and you can have a two page spread without losing any details.
But depending on your photobook size, some pages may not lay completely flat and stand up a little. This is completely normal and not considered a defect. The pages inside of a Layflat Photo Book are lighter compared to our Flush Mount Album because there is no substrate core in between its pages. A reprint of the same Layflat Photo Book in the same size would result the same where pages would stand up. In order for all pages of a Layflat Photo Book to lay flat, a bigger Layflat Photo Book would be necessary.
Below is a comparison shot of two of the same Layflat Photo Book but in different sizes. The book displayed on top is a 6x8 Layflat Photo Book and below is a 11x14 Layflat Photo Book. As you can see, the bigger the book, the bigger the page will be for it to lay flat.
