Shipping with Automatic Fulfillment
With Automatic Fulfillment, you do not have to set up any shipping methods. Automatic Fulfillment shipping methods and the shipping fee are predefined by the lab. The methods and the shipping fee will be shown to the client based on the shipping country they have chosen and the products they have added to cart.
For example, if you are using Automatic Fulfillment with Zno Lab, the shipping methods shown to the client and the shipping fee charged on the client’s order will be the same when the order is normally placed from Zno Lab. This means the shipping fee charged when you transfer the order to Zno Lab will be covered by that charged on your client in Zno Estore.
Shipping with Self Fulfillment
For Self Fulfillment, you must set up shipping methods based on your client’s locations. The shipping methods determine whether your clients are able to place an order. For example, if you only set up a shipping method for the United States, Canadian clients cannot select any shipping methods and then they will be shown “Disabled Checkout”.
How to Set up Self-fulfilled Shipping
Self-fulfilled Shipping is composed of two parts: Flat Shipping Fee Per Order and Additional Shipping Fee. Flat Shipping Fee Per Order determines how much you would like to charge per order. This is regardless of the amount, weight, and size of the order. You can decide Additional Shipping Fee for each self-fulfilled products if you need to cover additional costs due to the weight, size of the product or anything else.
To set up Flat Shipping Fee Per Order, see below:
Step 1: Go to Workspace/Gallery/Estore/Shipping/Self Fulfillment.
Step 2: Click “Add Shipping Method” and fill out the required fields.
Name this Shipping Method:
This is what the clients will see when they are selecting a shipping method. Make sure the name of the shipping method clearly outlines what you are offering, such as UPS Ground Shipping or UPS Overnight Shipping.
Flat fee per order:
As mentioned above, this determines how much you would like to charge per order. This is regardless of the amount, weight, and size of the order.
Country/Region and Ship to international:
Specify which country/region you would like this shipping method to be assigned to, or check 'Ship to international' to apply this to all countries/regions. For each location you are allowed to set up several different shipping methods.
Step 3: You can see all the shipping methods you have set up below.
If the customer's shipping address falls under these locations, they will be shown available shipping methods and they can select one to continue when they place their order.
To set up Additional Shipping Fee, see below:
Step 1: Go to Workspace/Gallery/Estore/Product.
Step 2: Find the product you would like to set up additional shipping fee.
Step 3: Edit additional shipping price for each product variation.
Unlike Flat Shipping Fee Per Order, this price will be charged to your client for each unit in their cart. For example, if your client orders 5 wall arts, each wall art counts as a unit.
To understand it better, let’s take a look at the client view below:
Using the screenshot as an example: UPS Ground Shipping equals the flat shipping fee set up for this shipping method plus additional shipping fee set up for the item “Lay Flat Album, (Square) 8x8", Printed, 10 pages” times the unit 2.
